Part-time MA degree, Certificate, and individual courses for post-baccalaureate learners
The Department of the History of Medicine offers a suite of graduate-level online courses. Students may take individual courses or pursue a Certificate or MA Degree in the History of Medicine. You will be able to register for fall 2016 courses starting in early summer, and you can find out how to apply for the MA or Certificate now.
The Institute of the History of Medicine of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is the oldest institution of its kind in the English-speaking world, with a breadth of teaching expertise that ranges over many different historical epochs and global geographies.
Since its founding in 1929, the Department has been committed to making the histories of healing, the biomedical sciences, clinical practice, and public health accessible to a wide variety of audiences. We are now proud to extend that mission beyond our Baltimore campus.
